If you work in active skincare, you’ll recognise this tension: go too “clinical” and you end up looking like every other white-dropper derm brand, go too “pretty” and people stop trusting the science behind your formulas.
Motic needed packaging that could sit comfortably next to pharmacy-grade brands, while still feeling warm, modern and quietly premium.
We solved this dilemma with Motic dual-label system. A cool, metallic strip represents the biotech backbone of the formulas – precise, high-tech, almost instrument-like. Over it sits a warmer, textured paper label - together they create a tactile contrast and a subtle storytelling moment: science as the foundation, care and comfort layered on top. It’s visually distinctive on shelf, but still simple and cost-efficient to manufacture.
The dot motif, layered labels and warm neutrals give the system its own personality without sacrificing readability or trust. For founders, this project shows how a clear strategy + 3D testing can turn “clinical but not sterile” from a vague wish into a concrete packaging system that’s easy to extend, cost-efficient to produce, and strong enough to carry a full peptide line over the next years.
